On Tuesday, February 18, so the billboards announce, we are to have "Buster Brown," his dog Tlge, his mother, Mary Jane, and his large retinue of pretty girls. Buster Borwn Is the most successful hero of the pictorial fiction. -Successful as pic tured In the prints and more so when Idealized upon the stage, and this sue cess can be attributed to the fact that many strenuous events of his many sldJd career appeal to every one in an audience, from the ragged urchin Boater Brown. perched up in the gallery to the staid man of business occupying the higher priced seat below; every one who sees Buster, recognizes the human nature In him. The boy desires to emulate him, the man is carried back to the days when he, too, became involved In boyish scrapes that suggested the slipper cure to his mother. Then too. Buster as a stage creation fairly exudes mirth his career Is a dance a laugh, a song or march a perfect kaleidoscope of rapidly moving chang es, each one of that entertaining kind that evolve pure, wholesome enjoy- ment Master Reed, who plays Bus ter, Is conceded to be without a peer In the character.
