La Grande will be furnished with light In two days, Is the ultima tum of Manager Fred Housh, who visited Cove last evening'. He found a slight flow of water In the ditch, but It Is not s-'fl-lent to generate any fiuantlty of t c(iirlty. The ditch which conveys the water to the power plant Is frozen at the summit and what water Is now flowing Is caused by the present thaw and Is not actual opening of the ditch. Should the present flow be aug mented by thawed snows and Ice in the same quantity that It has In the past two days, th,e wheels will be turning by Sunday, It la believed. It is thought, however, thut In the event' that electricity can be made at that time, it will only be in such ijuantltles as to warrant turning on the stret light circuit, and not the house lights of La Grande.
