The total landed here in six months amounts to 5186 but few re main in the county as they gradually make their way north and enter the United States. The Mexican government hae has givsn them tree transportation from Japan in ordsr to get them to work on important industries hampsrsd greatly owing to the lack of labor but for some reason or othes, although oat I oood and condition of life better than that in Japan they quit at the earliest opportunity and make for the United States. It is cal culated that considerably ever 2000 of them havejentered the latter country during the past twelve months. The principal gain was in the imports of raw materials from America while on the other hand the imports cf grain decreased $4,690,-000.
