SOCIETY The Damen-Krantz will enjoy a sleigh ing party this evening as . puests of a number of young gentlemen. The hosts have arranged for an elaborate banquet in one of the restaurints, Mr and Mrs F L Meyers and Merger ette Newlin entertained the Kaffa Klatch last evening. Prizes were won by Mrs Anson and Robert Newlin, Mre Turner Oliver being a warded the consolation. AT THE BOHNENKAMP HOME One of the most pleasant social parties of the mid-winter season was given by Mre, W H Bohnenkamp at her home on Second Street yesterday afternoon in honor of Mesdamee Harry and Horace Wilcox late of Anderson, Indiana, who have come to make their home in our city. The invited guests were Mesdamee E W Bartlett Dr. Bacon, F Swaney. Rich' ard Jones, H C Grady, J C Gulling, H C Cevena, Dr. Moore, Guy McCully, Jay Van Buren, Hobart Aikine, Adolph New lin. T J Scroggins, Fred Kiddle, W Allin- son. D M Watts, Horace Wilcox and Harry Wilcox. The afternoon wae epent in playing five hundred at which Mre. Van Buren proved most skillful. A dainty lunch was then served after which all wished the new comers a long and happy life in our "wild and wooly west" The initial party of the Methodist Glee Club wae a success. Last evening, after two hours spent iiksleighing about the city, the club and its guests went to the Geo. L. Cleaver home, where Mrs. Cleaver was in waiting with a goodly quanity of "coon pie" coffee and doughnuts. At a late hour the guests withdrew with the mutual agreement that the organize' tion is a desirable feature of the church. The next meeting of the club will be Feb ruary first, when Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Williams entertain. The club desires that all who are membere of the Methodist congregation, join and become active members. The hostesses of each meeting, after inviting the club membere isprivelged I to extend invitations to othere of their I friends.
