Every merchant in this county is looser to a much greater dcgieo that possibly many of them realize and Uie poor condition of our roads is responsible in a great mea sure for much of the trade that is sent away to the larao mill order houses. These houses receive many small orders, which in the agareaate runs into thou sands of dollars during the year, from the fact that it is easier to sit by the side of a warm fire and make out their orders and have the free rural delivery bring the package ta their doors than it is for them to hitch up a team and travel sev eral miles thru an almost impassible lob lolly.
