This ccunty and city is loosing too much money each year from poor roads. We have a large county and hundreds of miles of raids and it cost money to build and keep them in repair We may however learn much from this convention. This is its purpose. Come out and see. Oreeo.-. Mr. Chri Rtonher Eisman told that he aid his brother, Fred D. Eisman. had this year sold $14,000 worth of app'es from an orchard of thirty five acies. Tins orchard is the one il lustrated in a recent bs-ennial report of the Oregon State B-nj of Horticulture. Its history is a powerful tribute to the Oregon Experiment Station and the Ore gon State Board of Horfculture. Horticultural Commissioner Carson visit ed the orchard and persuaded Eisman Bros, to treat the orchard in the manner advised by Prof. A. B. Cordley of the Oreg--n Experiment Station. The treat ment was notably successful and the change in the appearance of the orchard was almost magical.
