what Oregon can prc duce. Grande Ronde

On a question that is of such impor
tance to this county aid city, every ses
sion should be crowded with interested
citizens, will it be?
We too often pass the responsibility of
these public questions to others, in other
words what is everybody's business i
nobody's business. This ccunty and city
is loosing too much money each year from
poor roads. We have a large county and
hundreds of miles of raids and it cost
money to build and keep them in repair
We may however learn much from this
convention. This is its purpose. Come
out and see.

D. Eisman. had this year sold $14,000
worth of app'es from an orchard of thirty
five acies. Tins orchard is the one il
lustrated in a recent bs-ennial report of
the Oregon State B-nj of Horticulture.
Its history is a powerful tribute to the
Oregon Experiment Station and the Ore

years ago the rchirJ. thr-vj-jh the rav

worthless from a practical standpoint.
Horticultural Commissioner Carson visit

advised by Prof. A. B. Cordley of the
Oreg--n Experiment Station. The treat
ment was notably successful and the
change in the appearance of the orchard
was almost magical. It has now for
three years been one of the most profit-
