BRITISH TRADE OUSTED BY AMERICANS (Scrlpps Newt Association) London, Eng., Nov. 21 In a consular report published today it is stated that there i a preal fallina off in trade be tween Mexico and Great Britain both in quantity and value, at compared with the United States. The report states geographical advantages possessed by the United States are offset by the great sea transportation which Britain can offer it being possible to ship freight from Liverpool to Vera Cruz cheaper than goods can be sent from New York Chicago. r other American centres to Tampica or Vera Cruz, or by rail alone to Mexico City. L'IilIiC IMJIIUU LUiuuti z rtKKI, UMAJV'.l In all diseases of the throat, whether acute or chronic. Osteopathy is able to five quick relief, besides accomplishing permanent cures, through natural methods and without recourse to either drugs or surgery. For t'nt reason the treatment is in great favor with singers and public speakers, to wnom perfect conditio! of the throat is indispensable; and many of the best known professional people never have any other treatment when attacked by throat troubles. Toisilitis, which is often a most serious malady when old metnoefs are relied upon ceases to be so when the Osteopath is called in. "Lesions" or misadjustments. are always fcund. Bony misadjustments in the upper part of the spine are seldom absent, while there is very usually found also a tense condition of the muscles of the neck and shoulders. There is iittie need of argument to prove that these misadjustments are re sponsible for the conditions; for usually the very first treatment given by the Os teopath brings relief. In the acute forms of tonsilitis a few treatments usually suf fice for complete cure, although a chronic enlargement of the tonsils necessitates longer treatment. The connection between the lesions' worked upon by the Osteo path and the diseased condition is simply th:s: that the misadjustments and co -tracted tissues before mentioned, by pressure upon nerves and blood vessels cause faulty circulation to and from the tonsils, resulting in the inHamation which constitutes the malady. The relaxation of the tissues and correction of the bony misadjustments removes the cause of the trouble and restored circulation causes it to speedily disappear. Practically everything which has been said in re'alion to tonsilitis applies fully as well to pharyngitis, or sort throat The disease is an inflamation of the mucous membrane, due to defective cir culation. The Osteopath simply locates the causes of interruption to circulation and corrects them. Relief is observable at once and acute cases art cured in a ft w treatments. Most chronic cases also yield, although requiring more extended treatment. In pharyngitis, as in other throat troubles, it often seems as if the trouble it due wholly to some active irritating in fluence, such as tobacco or tht continued us of the voice. It it almost alwayt the case, however, that defective blood circu lation in tht throat hat predisposed trie patient to the trouble, bringing about a low vitality of the tissues which has ren dered them liable to irritation: although the restriction of tht irritating influence it always helpful and advisabie. In this, and all other varieties of throat trouble, the success of Osteopathy has been mcst notable. "Right Way."
