Misses Lycrec Wood and Wyl Dalton were confirmed and taken into the church by the Bishop. Following the confirmation Bishop Scadding addressed the audience not on any set theme, hut spoke in a gen eral way of the progress of Oregon's Episcopal churches. The Bishop left this morning for Baker City where he will attempt to re-open the closed mission. He may remain there a day or two before continuing his journ ey into Southern Oregon. (OHM MARSMAKES PRffiY TRANSFERS It seem that Contractor J. L. Mars and ex-real estate dealer can't refrain from killing birds out of season, judging from what he has accomplished during the past few months. He purchased fifteen lots himself and it seems he has a special eye on property suitable for warehouse pur poses. As agent he sold lots 2-3, block 108, owned by Chas. G. Bunte for 2,800 and lot 1, in the same block owned by W. R. Hamilton, for $3,600 to Julius Roesch. This property is now being excavated for a two story building 90x110, the first floor and basement to be occupied by one store and the upper floor to be cut up in rooms. The estimated cost of this building is $35,000. Mr. Mar recently sold lots 7 to 1 3, block, 151, from Chapman to G. E. Fow- (ORDERING NEW TREATY (Scrlppt News Association) Berlin, Nov. 13 Prince Von Bulow, appeared on the floor of the Reichstag to day at the opening session. This is his first appearance since last April, at which time he was suddenly seized by a severe illness. . The most important question that will be discussed by the Richstag is the de mand for a new treaty with the United States when the present one expires. UNABLE TO FIND ROOMS (Scrlpps News Association) San Francisco Nov. 13 The grand jury which is to investigate the municipal graft changes, is unable to find rooms wherein to conduct its examinations. Tomorrow is the last day of grace and some sort of a room will be found by that time. ler for $600 with expectation of having three residences built on them. He also sold lots 15-16-17. block 121 the property of Mr. Fowler to Julius Roesch for $1,200 who expects to build a large warehouse 92x1 10 feet for his own use. Also 1 !j lots in block 121 to John Palmer with a two story building for $2 225. It seems that in making these several rades he has killed two birds with one stone regardless of the game laws, but as he has always been a law abiding citizen, we will let him go on ''killing as many birds as po ssible with as few stone a possible and if the game warden interfer es it is doubtful if he could secure a jury that would convict him. Return Indictments (Script) News Association) Kansas City Nov. 13 The federal grand jury today returned two indictments each against Davis Kresky, a freight broker and W. A. Mc3owan the local agent for the Nickel Plate railroad Kresky is charged with soliciting and ac cepting rebates, and McGowan with con spiracy in connection with flour shipments from Kansas City to New York. REUNION OF FLORIDA YETERANS (Scrlpps Newe Association) Gainsville. Fla. Nov. 13. The annual reunion of Florida's veterans which took place here today proved of great interest though the ranks are becoming thinned. The veterans were accorded a very cord ial reception by the citizens. General Flemming, Major A. D. Williams, Col. R. J.
