President Campbell states that hazing must be abolished at Oregon and the sophomores are doing some hard thinking Last year the cap rjsn was abolished by the action of the underclassmen and the year before that the junior day rush. This year the faculty will attempt to to have the students abolish the initiating performance but the president says if they don't the faculty will have to compel the custom to stop. In this country the demand for the eradication of the oH custom is increasing Its backers claim that the practice is brut alizing to the praclioner and that such usage in American wojld not be allowed in any way but a college.
