SEPTEMBER 10. 1906 CURREY BROS..Editors and Proprietors ORDINANCE NO. 341 Series 1906 An Ordinance providing for the improve ment of Second Street from the Inter section thereof with Grandy Avenue, to the intersection thereof with C street. THE CITY OF LA GRANDE DOES ORDAIN ASFOLLOWS:- Section 1. It is hereby ordered that the Street Superintendent of the City o La Grande be, and he is hereby directed to notify all owners and occupants o property abutting upon Second Street between the intersection thereof with Grandy Avenue, and the intersection thereof with C street, in La Grande. Ore gon, that unless they proceed on or before the 15th day of October, 1906. to make the necessary improvement of said street abutting such property by placing the same upon established grade, and properly making all necessary cuts and fills said fills and grading to be of earth only, that the city of La Grande will thereafter aider said work done by contract, and the cost and expense of making such improvement will be made a lien upon abutting property as provided by the ordinances of said City. Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the 10th day of Sept.. 1906, and published in one issue of the La Grande Evening Observer. REMAINS TRANSFERRED The remains of Mrs. Susan Dalton. for seven years buried in the Lost Prarie Valley in Wallowa county, have been unearthed and were last nicht sent on to Hays Kansas where the bones will be re-interred beside those of Mr. Dalton's. Mrs. Dalton came to this state seven years ago to visita sisterin the Wallowa valley. While here she died and was buried.
