This is a relic of a hard ride in the hot sun, up one street and down another, over sidewalks and railroads, and calls to mind days of vigilant watch ing in the discharge of his duties as pond master. It is only a bank check. A check given in payment to release fifteen head of horses which Mr. Harding found rooming the streets inside the city limits. The horses belonged to C. C. Frazier. and that gentleman sent his son after them, for which the son made out a check for $16 and signed itC. C. Frazier. When the check was presented this morning at the bank, payment had been stopped. Thus Mr. Harding is in possession of a worth less souvenir.
