NO EIRE It Might have been a fire, but it wasn't. It was a fire alarm alright enough, and the department responded, and for the third successive time Fred Reynolds was first there with the cart, and for the third successive time some one had spit on the spark and extinguished the blaze before the department had tune to turn on the water. Fred is beginning to believe he is a sort of a hoodoo and that so long as he continues to connect his red wagon to the hose cart there will never be any real fires. This time the cause of the distur bance was a small fire in the rear of J. D McKennon': residence, which had its in ception in the ash barrel. There was con siderable smoke for a few moments, but no fire worth mentioning. 1013 Washingtan Avenue TELEPHONE RED 161 HELP. WANTED - Girl to general housa , work. Inquire at this office.
