Cm May 25 Strong efforts are being made to Introduce Cong- ss to make the necessary appropriation for th porpoM of securing a site upon which a memorial mo n ument in honor of Henry Wads worth Longfsllow is to be erected' - Toe matter has been brought U the attention of Congress by the House Committee on Library, which recommend the appropriation of $4,000 for the prep aration of a suitable site. The monuement for which the Longfellow Memorial Association has already raised a consider able sum. It is to be erected in this city and the Government will be asked to give a suitable site somewhere on the public grounds, other than the grounds of the Capitol or the Library ot Congress.
