John R Guillians has been arrested and is in the hands of the local police. Ha was arrested at Pendleton, by instructions of Chief of Police Rayburrt, and held there until Con stable McLachlen could arrive, and bring him (o La Grands. ' He was ar ranged in justice court this morning on a charge of securing money under false pretenses. The charge dates back 'two years, when the defendant gave a mort gage to Fred Jacob on some personal property. When Mr. Jacobs tried to col lect his money - ne round that other peo ple claimed the mortgaged property and was of course, out of the ' money loaned. About that i tim the defendant dis appeared and has been wanted by the police since .that time.
