Thank to effort of Mr. Henry Howard of the East ern Yacht Club and the munificence of the club he represent this year, which would otherwise been an off-year so far as international yacht racing is concerned, will witness such an event of unusual in terest It ha been definitely settled that an international yacht race between three mall sloops, representing the Kaiserlich er Yacht Club and a like number repre senting the Eastern Yacht Club will be raced off Marblehead in September of this year. The arrangement were clinched by a cablegram which Mr. How ard, chairman of the regatta committee of the Eastern Yacht Club, received from Admiral Barandon. chairman of the car ing committee of the Kaiserlicher Yacht Club. Sheriff T.D Tay lor and Deputy Sheriff Jo Blakeley re turned yesterday from Salem, where they delivered C. P. Davis and Moses Taylor to the state prison. Both prisoners caused no trouble whatever while being taken to the penitentiary and seemed to be hopeful that they would not be re quired to serve th full length of their sentence. Davis has begun a five year sentence -for larceny of publio money while a deputy sheriff and Taylor' sen tence j two and a half years, having been convicted of attempt to commit arson.
