The La Grande Drug Store has just completed the installment of a system of electric lights which is second to none in Eastern Oregon and shows up the inside of the building to great advantage. Dr. R. L. Lincoln of this city has pre sented the La Grande High School lib rary with a complete set of the Encyclo pedia Brittanica. This set is brought up to date in every respect, and is a gift to be greatly appreciated. Attorney R. H. Lloyd, of Elgin is in the city today sizing up the political situation. It is quite probable that he will become a candidate before the Republican prima ries for the nomination of county judge. SOCIETY EPIPHANY-TIDE PARTY The Epiphany-tide party, given by the members of the Episcopal church and Sunday Sohool, last evening, in the Elks hall, was prominent among the social e vents of the season. Old and young were present and joined heartily in the dancing and games. Musical selections by Mrs. Lyle, Miss Aikine, Miss Ormondand duets by Lucrece Wood and Maud Johnson were given, also a vocal solo by Mr. Edwards. At a late hour the large company sat down to prettily decorated tables and a oounteous supper. JURY DRAWN The jury for the February term of court was drawn today.
