Holiday Groceries now oi TAXES ARE RAISED The county court ha mad the tax levy for the year 1906 at 28 mill, and through the kindness of the board, the Observer was permitted to transcribe the levy in detail and the amounts that the levy will provide. Last year the levy was 55 mills and the revenue raised therefrom was $170,000. This year the 28J mill tax Is expected to yield $157, 568 as follows: County , 7 . $38700 School 6 53171 Road 3 . 16585 State 2,4 ' 13821 Contingent ' 2 11057 Call in Warrants . - -- Total 23 mills $157563 The 8 mills is to pay the interest on the outstanding warrants and to pay off a portion of the debt.
