IRRIGATION IN INDIA An irrigation project has just been given official approval by the Indian government involving an expenditure of twenty millions of dollars, to cover three thousand square miles, the water to be 'taken from the Jhelum river, the flow of which is esti mated at seven thousand cubic feet per second.
