He inspires confidence and hope and transformed a debt ridden and discouraged church into an active power that has stirred Portland as never before as is witnessed by the growth of his aud ience from a few hundred to 5000 and then hundreds are nightly turned away because of lack of accomodations and during the last year he has increased his membership over 600, No one could help but gain strength and wisdom from hearing him last evening and the wisdom of the board of directors who arranged for his coming gave strength and stability to what is to fellow. - .
