Shear fun at 79th Lamb & Wool Show STATESMAN JOURNAL Turner celebrated wool and feathers this year during the 79th Annual Mar- ion County Lamb & Wool Show Sat- urday, June 4. Duck herding was among the nov- elties of the 2016 version of this event, which celebrates not only the local lamb and wool industry but also dou- bles as the “Turner Celebration.” Among the mix was the requisite variety necessary to cater to all ages: a big breakfast, dogs herding sheep (and ducks), a highlight parade, 4H and FFA displays, along with craft vendors, food vendors, wool/fiber classes, a local spinning club and a quilters group. Riana Martin and Moose place first in their class during the Lamb & Wool Show. The Marion County Lamb & Wool Show featured a variety of sheep on Saturday in Turner.
