REUBEN NOTES Miss Nellie Tierny of Rainier visit ei over Sunday with her sister Mary A. Tierny. Anthony Hardy and J. H. Wilson of Portland were in town on Sun day. Ira Withrow and wife have arrived home from a three week visit with friends in Lane County. Mr. Carl Kambalski and children are visiting: with friends at Maysrar this week. T. C. Watts was the only delegate from Columbia County, that attend, ed the Retail Merchants Convention held in Medford Ore. last week. G. W. Jordan and wife entertain ed the Reuben Whist Club Saturday evening, Miss Gladis Jordan and T. C. Watts won the first prizes and Miss A. Tierny abd T. S. Linton the Booby prize. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Snyder will entertain the Club at their next meeting to be held Feb. 2nd. Mrs F. W, Jordan of Harrisburg Oregon returned home after a weeks visit with her father and mother Mr. and Mrs. W. H. The few remarks made by Supt. J. H. Collins were full of inspiration and helpful suggestions. The parents and teachers club of Dist. No 20 is one of the most alive in the state, thoroughly interested. in and working for the upbuilding of their school.
