WEST DEER ISLAND Walter and Sophia Freeman are Improving rapidly. We are glad to hear Mis Burns ia well again. We understand Mias Hazel Brit tain has quite school. Say Hazel you had better account for your self. Mr. 0. Henry Oleen was visiting the Brittain family Sunday. Mr. Newell Ward is wearing a smile that wont come off. No wonder this is leap year. The Peninsula Lbr, Co. is operat ing again. The dance given in the Grange held Saturday night was reported a success. We understand the town of Deer Island is to have a new three story hotel in the near future. Mr. D. H. Brittain is employed by the P. L. Co. at present. Mr. Will Cary is staying at the Hotel now. Miss Lulu Razey of St. Helens at tended the dance here Friday night. Miss Amonda Huldt of Yankton visited. Mr. and Mrs. Andress Fri day and Saturday. Rose Cram is improving very rapidly. Miss Emma Smith has rented the Hotel again. Miss Maggie Razey and Willis Kelly visited friends at Tide Creek Sunday. We understand Elmer L. Olson is going to build another new seven room house in Wwt IVvr Island, soon as the weather sett'es. Mr. Dave McCune attended the Artisan Lodge Tuesday night.
