Preecott, Surveyor St. Helens Frank Sherwood. c6rnr........Rajnier MAYOR'S PROCLAMATION To the People of St Helens: Under the present condition of the dry season and the scarcity of water for fire protection and the near approach of the 4th of July it is quite apparent that every prcaution should be taken to nrevent fires in the City, and I respectfully urge all parents to guard carefully their children in the use of fireworks; also the merchants who are selling fire works to impress upon the child ren to whom they sell to get away from the business portion of the City before firing them. The Marshal has been instructed to allow no firecrackers to be fired East of Cosenau street, and I trust that the parents will see to it that the childred do not vi olate these instructions.
