The assessor of Columbia County, Oregon, shall receive an an nual salary of (1,200, such salary to be paid monthly, iu like manner as the salary of other officials of said county are now paid. The assessor of Columbia County, Oregon, shall have authority to appoint one deputy, who shall be paid an annual salary of '&00, said salary to be paid nioutmr in manner as tne salary ot the other county officers of said county are now paid. 3 The assessor of Columbia County, Oregon, shall have authority to employ as many assistanta as he may deem necessary for the vrompt and proper cmduct and administration of hit ottice.
