Y. 1 IBAB 1B1LOOB THE SOURCE OF ALL DISEASE Every part of the body la dependent on the blood for nourishment and strength. When this life stream is flowing through the system in a state ot purity and richness we are assured of perfect and uninterrupted health ; because pure blood la nature's safe-guard against disease. When, however, the body is fed on weak, impure or polluted blood, the system is deprived of its strength, disease germs collect, and the trouble is manifested in various way. Pustular eruptions, pimples, rashes and the different skin affections show that the blood is in a feverish and diseased condition as a result of too much, acid or the presence of some irritating humor. Sores and Ulcers are the result of morbid, unhealthy matter in the blood, and Rheumatism, Ca tarrh, Scrofula, Contagious Blood Poison, etc., are all deep-seated blood disorders that will continue to grow worse as long as the poison remains. These impurities and poisons find their way into the blood in various ways. Often a sluggish, inactive condition of the system, and torpid state of the avenues of bodily waste, leaves the refuse and waste matters to sour and form uric and other acids, which are taken np by the blood and distributed throughout the circulation. Coming in contact with contagious diseases is another cause for the poisoning of the blood ; we also breathe the germs and microbes of Malaria into our lungs, and when these get into the blood in sufficient quantity it becomes a carrier of disease instead of health. Some are so unfortunate as to inherit bad blood, perhaps the dregs of some old constitutional disease of ancestors is handed down to them and they are constantly annoyed and troubled with it Bad blood is the source of ail dis ease, and until this vital fluid is cleansed and purified the body is sure to suffer in some way. For blood troubles of any character S. S. S. is the best remedy ever discovered. It goes down into the circulation and removes any and all poisons, supplies the healthful properties it needs, and completely and permanently cures blood diseases of PURELY VEGETABLE slightest trace of the trouble for future outbreaks. The whole volume of blood is renewed and cleansed after a course of S. S. S. It is also nature's greatest tonic, made entirely of roots, herbs and barks, and is absolutely harmless to any part of the system. S. S. S. is for sale at all first class prug stores. KIUTART FORCES ARE PREPARED United Railways May Huddle Under Eagle's Wing by Ashing for Federal Injunction, San Francisco. Msy 7. An air of nervous expectancy hangs over the city of San Francisco. It is soeh a quiet, suppressed sentiment a bespeaks ap proaching conflict. The situation is serious with a gravity born of uncer tainty. The United Railroads pro pose to resume the operation ot its lines with non-union men. Two thou garni union men are cn strike, and, while neither side will discuss the pos sibility of violence, the situation has been carefully canvassed by the police, the niiiitia and the officers of the ieg la army. There is a settled feeling In the city that the cars cannot be operated with out violence of some sort. Wherever the subject was discussed, the opinion was expressed that trouble was inevlta Me. While still hoping that no out break will attend the running of the care, the authorities liave made props rations for any emergency. General Funston arrived last night and assumed command of the department of Cantor nut. The mi litis armories are being guarded and the polios force has been given emergency orders. The situation is complicated by the telephone strike and the vast industrial army made idle by the ironworkers strike. Among the union the feeling prevails that the defeat of the carmen would be the heaviest blow the unions could receive. Reports are current that. If trouble attend the attempt ot Mr. Calhoun to run the cars, he will force the issue up on the government, either through request for a receiver or through Injunc tion proceedings in the Federal court PREDICTS COAL FAMINE. "The small dealers," Mr. Park is further reported to nave said, "have in a way depended upon the railroad for the supply of coal to help them out. and, unless they store their own coal during the coming summer, they will face a famine in the winter. Coal con sumers along other lines where a simi lar arrangement has been maintained by coal-carrying roads will meet the me emergency. The Union Pacific will store coal as usual this summer, but will hsve none to sell." TORNADO WASTES PRAIRIE. Wracks Villages and Kills Psopls in Northern Texas. Fort Worth, Texas, May 7. Official Infor matlon reached ths Interstate Commerce oonmilfslon today of ths cancellation of s traftio agreement entered Into June 18, 1903, between the Southern Paoltlo and the 8an Pedro, Los Angeles A Salt Lake railroad companies. In ths opinion of the commission tht abrogation ot the agreement is of the highest importance. The fscta con cerning it were developed at ths txwent inquiry into the relations of the South era Pacific with other corporations.
