CATARRH AND SYSTEM DISORDERED 4 Catarrh is not merely an, inflammation of the tissues of the head and throat, as the symptoms cf ringing; noises la the ears, mucous dropping back into the throat, continual hawking and spitting, etc., would seem to indi cate ; it is a blood disease in which the entire circulation and the greater part of the system are involved. Catarrh is due to the presence of an excess cf nric acid in the blood. The Liver, Kidneys and Bowels frequently be come torpid and dull in their action and instead of carrying off the refuse and waste of the body, leave it to sour and form nric acid in the system. This is taken up hf the blood and through its circulation distributed to all parts of the system. These impurities in the blood irritate and inflame the different membranes and tissues of the body, and the contracting f a cold will 6tart the secretions and other disgusting and disagreeable symptoms of Catarrh. As the blood goes to all parts of the body the ca tarrhal poison affects all parts of the system. The head has a tight, full feeling, nose continually stopped np, pains above the eyes, slight fever comes and goes, the stomach ii upset and the entire system disordered and I had Catarrh fo, ahout fifteen ,S WaSte f 7ara, and no man could have time to try to cure Catarrh with sprays, hSldloUSjS4l,VK hes Inhalations, etc. Such treatment suited. GETS EVERY ADVANTAGE. Court Very Lenient While Hermann Is on Stand. Washington, April tf. It is expected thut the testtiuonv of liinger Hermann will be concluded today and that his cro examination will then begin and probably consume two days. Judging from the copious notes taken by Dis trict Attorney Maker while Hermann has been on the stand, it Is inferred that the defendant will have to face a hot cross fire from the prosecution. Hermann can never complain of the unfairness of the ruling? of Judge Staf ford, who Is piesiding. Munv times yesterday when the defendant gave rambling and evasive answers to ques tions bv his attorney, answers that put him in a more favorable light than would a direct answer to the Hiterroga tory, the court overruled objections of the di.-tri.t attorney and admitted Her mann s answers. Spokane, Wash., April 8.-My ' ing public today the roi'r 1,18 ",,ow state" committee and aniiouenlng ia adoption by the chainliet of commerce, Secretary U CI. Monroe, of the latter body, formally launched the campaign for the creation of a new commonwealth comprising the "Inland Umpire," for which the name "Lincoln" baa been most fieiiiently miggcsted. The report of the committee, which was adopted unanimously! conit "f review of conditions that brought about what it teim the unnatural arrange ment of boundarle now existing in the Northwest, advances reason for the construction of a now stateand suggests the following boundiirie should lie ap proximated: That the 4Mh degree ol latitude, or the present north line of lh state of Wyoming, extended, be designated as the northern boundary of the state of Idaho, and the 120th degree of longi tude, or the eastern boundary of the state of California, curried ninth, until It intersects the -t!Uh degree o( latitude, be designated a the western boundary of the state of Idaho, and that the east ern California line, carried to HritUh Columbia, be designated as the eastern boundary of the state ol Washington, thereby "leaving a new state to be here after named anil from which a eential city should be selected as the capital, comprising the panhandle of Idaho, Northeastern Oiegou and Kastern Washington The report goes on to say ; "This proposition should not come from any one town or locality, but should bo brought from all the principal town north of the said 4Mb dcgiee of latitude, and, if possible to secure their consent and approbation, then the mat ter should lie taken to the principal town and cities south of the said 45th degree of latitude, to at cure, if psible, their cc-operaticn." The committee recommended that the chamber of commerce send copies of this report to the various cities Inter ested, placing the mutter before the board of trade, city council, or otliei body of like nature, to the end that steps lie taken looking to the necessary action by congress. The report points out tln't the pan handle of Lluho is cut off from the south by an impenetrable mountain harrier, and that the s nth has domi nated legislation to tlie exclusion of the interests of the panhandle; also that similar condition exhta in Washing ton, where the Cascade mountains con stitute a natural barrier. It is argued that similar conditions exist between Kastern and Western Or egon to even a more marked degree. WORST YET TO COME. Chinese Famine Drive People to Dig Up and Eat Dead.
