This is a much needed and long looked for improvement, and it is boned that the two communities will be con nected by wagon road before spring. A crew of railroad surveyors were seen in the mountains Monday near Com miiigs' place. They have tried in vain to get a two per cent grade over the di vide between Comming and Beaver creek. They also tried a line up west from Buxton, aiming to strike the Neha lcm river below Glen crook. Tbev are now trying an entire new route, on which tbey will have to tunnel through a high but narrow ridge south of Cape Horn. Win. Marsh, Sr., drove his cattle home Monday from the old Kibbey place, which be bought some years ago. Vernon Mow's family are visiting rela tives in the valley.
