The school there ia progressing nicely, having an enrollment of IT, and the directors have employed an assistant to Mrs. Merrill, realising that it waa impossible for one teacher to properly instruct auch a large number of pupils. The people of that place take quite an iuterett in their school, and have a very convenient building, which is neatly furnished, and have lately pur- ebaeed a fine chapel organ to add to it attractiveness. Religious services are held in the echoolbuilding, the peo- le being treated to a sermoa by Rev. Ir. Smith, of Clatskanie, last Sunday. Tha offer of the A. A C. K.
