The lumber buaineas is a little dull this winter, owing to bard times, but still the Deep creek mill is undergoing some im provements in Ihs way of tramwuy con veyor, etc. During the winter there baa been added a top saw and a good planer, the mill being now able to furnish all kinds of building lumber of a standard grade. Judging from the number of logging cat tle wintered in the Nehalem valley this year the loggers out side are expecting a big run the coming summer. Thsy have most alt taken their teams out now.
