Fair petitot, thus saying to the people of Portland that the purest milk to be obtained in that larjre city comes from the Clover Hill farms of E. L. Thompson of Deur Island, Columbia county. Mr. W. M. Helton, an experl- ended dairy and stock man, is in charge of the Clover Hill Farms, and is ever busy superintending the work in such a manner as to make this the great dairy that it is. Ho is a very pleasant gentleman and has asked us to say that visitors are always welcome to the farm and will be shown every courtesy while there. There is another feature of the Clover Hill Farms that is no small and always finds ready market with the very highest prices paid for such products. To psople who enjoy looking at. a real model dairy and poultry farm no better trip could be made than a visit to these farms. What Mr. Thonpson has done and is doing can be done by others, and it is quite probable that before long sevtraJ other places in Columbia county will become noted for the quality and purity f its products.
