PFC grants increases for two groups ■ FUNDING: The Asian Pacific American Law Students Association received $300for their new group By Autumn De Poe Student Activities Reporter The Programs Finance Com mittee met last night to discuss the 1997-98 budget requests for ASUO Child Care and Develop ment Centers, and the Asian Pa cific American Law Students As sociation. The ASUO CCDC requested an increase of .6 percent to provide child care subsidies for 220 fami lies instead of the 200 families that are currently being served. ASUO Finance Coordinator Kent Black recommended that CCDC’s budget be funded as requested. The PFC discussed a late bud get request from the Pocket Play house. The due date for budget re quests this year was December 15, 1996. The Pocket Playhouse bud get request was submitted to the PFC on March 6. Members of the PFC decided that the request may be heard this Saturday. The Asian Pacific American Law Students Association re quested the maximum of $300 for a new student group. APALS plans to sponsor a Minority Law Day, set up minority and law pan els with guest speakers and spon sor an Asian American/Law job fair. The PFC amended the travel, events and speakers line items without decreasing the groups re quest.
