Nurit Kalderon, a scientist at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, said addi tional research is needed before the technique can be applied to patients. But she said it does sug gest a new way of treating injuries now often considered hopeless. J Man dies in desert hot springs after eclipse 3SELMA, Ore. — A man who went to a remote hot springs to watch the lunar eclipse was found dead the next day in 117 degree water. Kevin Williams, 35, died from hyperthermia at Mickey Hot Springs in the Alvord Desert of southeastern Oregon, according to an autopsy.
