"Speedway" takes a job at all the rumors surrounding the private life of Morrissey, but in ins typical style Morrissey leaves you guessing with lyrics like ''All of the rumors keep me ground ed, I never said they were com pletely unfounded." "Now My Heart Is Full" is the song that stands out the most on this album. Could this show that Morrissey is starting to be hap py'' That's the impression given with the lyric s "Now my heart is full and I just can't explain so I won't even try " If Morrissey is indeed getting happier with life, this could mean that his future albums could get better and better, if that is even possible after a great album like this one If you like Morrissey, and you liked \'our Arsenal, go get this album. Some of the songs are played on an out of-tune guitar, and some of the songs sound like a disco musi cian on acid. Legend has it that Beck writes his lyrics while on PC'P with a towel on his writing hand, He then lights the towel on Tiro and writes down alt the lyrics before his hand gets burned. This explains a lot. "Loser." the first single, is an old song that has been a club hit in Los Angeles for about the last, year. After all of the club playthe single received, record compa nies rushed to sign Heck. This is not a bad start for someone who used to blow leaves for a liv ing What makes this album great is the fact that Beck is a one man band. Like Trent Ke/.nor of Nine Ini h N.n is. His " made this all mil i by doing everything himself This album is not for the MTV junkie who likes the song because it is shoved down their throats every hour.
