He also said he had found a loophole in Robert’s Rules of Orders that would allow USSA another chance to request the money. But Randall said he believes Baldwin's loophole is just a way to twist the issue to benefit the SPA members of the 1FC. USSA is on the I PC agenda for Mon day, when members hope to resolve the issue. The IFC also considered the budgets of the Foreign Student Organization, University Song and Dance and Telecommunica tions and Film groups. The Foreign Student Organization was granted a 16 percent increase in its budget, up to $14,718 for next year. Most of the line items passed unanimously. The organiza tion's Cultural Night. Cultural Festival and International Week were the main items in the budget. Steve Stone, advisor for the University Song and Dance group, submitted a "fairly sim ple" budget, according to com mittee member katy Howard. The line items of costuming and music were some of Stone’s ma jor concerns. He also submitted a special request to set up a new music account and transfer $150 of current costume budget funds. The IFC approved this request but granted $478 rather than the initial amount of $622. University Song and Dance received the same budget award as last year, $764. Chairwoman Jodie Mooney voiced concern about the new Telecommunications and Film group. "You are a young group," she said. “I’m not sure that you are distinct enough, but I do want to see you get funding." With such tactics, Reiner believes the media has put a cer tain fear in the minds of people about the movement. “We are really an unknown movement to people, and peo ple are generally wary of the unknown,” he said. A discussion of the ideology of the Unification Church will be held at many of the CARP sponsored lectures. At the first lectures, the early parts of Moon’s teachings will be presented, covering subjects such as the nature of God, the purpose of life, spiritual growth, the origin of evil and life after death.
