University employees must file Tax-exempt University em ployees need to file a W-4 form with the Internal Revenue Ser vice by Feb 15 or face an un pleasant surprise — a smaller February paycheck Even those who claimed tax exemption in 1982 must file the form again because the with holding exemption expires on Jan 31 of each year, says Joyce Heaton, payroll supervisor In the past, employees have been shocked when theii pay check is substantially reduced because they haven't filed an exemption form To avoid that problem, she has sent a memo about the need to file W-4 forms to all deans, department heads and payroll personnel. Employees who have no tax liability for 1982 and expect to have none for 1983 are permit ted by law to claim exemption from withholding for federal and state income taxes The W-4 forms are available in the payroll office on the first floor of Oregon Hall Police still search for rapists Eugene police are still looking for two men suspected of sodomizing a 18-year-old University student early Sunday morning near Chapman Hall The woman apparently left a tavern on Kincaid Street about 1:30 a m to return to her res idence hall. As she crossed campus she was approached by a man who began talking with the woman, while another man with a knife grabbed her from behind The man with the knife threatened her if she did not do as they told her. Police said the first suspect then forced her to commit sodomy while the second sus pect held her down. But both men ran away when they heard someone approaching According to the police report of the incident the first suspect was six feet tall and 180 pounds, while the second was six feet two inches tall and 200 pounds Both were white and about 23 years old. said police Couple charged in car bombing SPRINGFIELD (AP) — A woman and a male acquaintance are charged with murder in the car bombing death last month of the woman's hus band, Springfield police said Tuesday Barbara Ann Harris. 31, and Terry James White, 32, were arrested separately Monday night, they said Police would describe White only as "an acquaintance" of the Harris family A bomb tore the roof off a small car driven by Robert Eugene Harris as he prepared to leave a Rosboro Lumber Co parking lot Dec 2 after working a graveyard shift Lt Leroy Bergstrom said the arrests were the result of "long, hard, tedious work" by Springfield detectives but would not say what led detectives to the arrests "We eventually developed sufficient cause to effect an arrest."
