Executive ASUO post opens up The ASUO’s new executive vice-president will have bigger shoes to fill, according to acting Executive Vice President Alan Contreras The ASUO, now in the market for an executive vice president, recently revamped its descrip tion of the job, Contreras says "The job did not turn out to be what people expected it to be," Contreras says of the executive position previously held by Gus Palmitessa As executive vice president. Palmitessa managed the ASUO elections and “occasionally gave advice to the president ” Contreras says. The new executive vice pre sident will do that and manage the ASUO executive budget. represent the ASUO at Re sidence Hall Governance Com mittee meetings and fill in for the president when needed The ASUO announcement of the position in the Emerald classifieds describes the job as "a very active position” which requires "at least 30 hours a week."
