EMU Board OK’s proposed 82-83 budget In a 6-2 vote, the EMU Board on Thursday approved a proposed 1982-83 budget recommendation of about $1.1 million. The original request included about $11,500 more than what the Incidental Fee Committee had already allocated to the EMU budget. About $7,600 was removed from the Club Sports budget for meal subsidies and travel expenses. Another $300 came from the Administration's office supplies; the Outdoor Program suffered a $450 cut in its van expense; and the Cultural Forum incurred $2,700 decrease, which will result in a $900 increase from excess 1981-82 funding. Prior to approving the budget, however, Sandy Vaughn, Club Sports Director, had requested an addi tional $773 for lodging requests. These funds were to come from the surplus in the budget of the Cultural Forum. "(These cuts) are not something we're comfortable with,” she said. “We have extended ourselves to the limit already. So we are petitioning to put back in to lodging what we have sacrificed for food."
