The job won't be new to Ford i - she ran the department from 1971-75. The department conducted a nationwide search to fill the po sition, according to Norv Ritchey, assistant dean of the College of Health, Physical Education and Recreation. Ford, a University faculty member since 1961, was selected because she offers the department an ideal blend of administrative and scholarly qualities, Ritchey says. Ford says the department ranks among the nation’s top four recreation departments and the faculty is one of the most qualified in the country. Babcock gains honor University physical plant director Harold Babcock will be installed Wednesday as vice president of the Association of Physical Plant Administrators. The AAPA is a non-profit as sociation of college and univer sity physical plant administra tors.
