A prominent Chicago attor ney and businessman, Klutznick will be at the University from April 27 until May 8 to lecture, meet with a variety of classes and confer with faculty and students. "Philip Klutznick's interests and experience have covered a range of fields from internation al relations to major urban economic development to federal government service as secretary of commerce,” says Emory Via, director of the University Labor Education and Research Center and chairer of the faculty committee on the Morse chair. “He will be offering the campus and the state intel lectually stimulating pre sentations that are backed by a wealth of first-hand exper ience and by many years of public service." Klutznick’s first lecture is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, at 3:30 p.m. in the Gerlinger Alumni Lounge. The $2,000 scholarship allows further study at any college or university selected by the student with the advice and approval of University authorities. American studies may include American civilization, ethnic studies, folklore and linguistics. A student need not have an undergraduate degree in English or history to be considered.
