Gallagher joins LERC The state Labor Education and Research Center (LERC) at the University has added a third labor education specialist to rts staff. James Gallagher, associate professor of labor education at the UCLA Center for Labor Research for the past two years, wiH join labor education specialist Scott Tobey and Center Director Emory Via as an associate professor of labor education. GaHagher, 44, has worked closely with the California labor move ment for more than 10 years, according to Steven Deutsch, who has been acting LERC director, and wrote several union training manuals while at UCLA.
