...et al Expert shows liquor film Decision making and problem solving is the topic of the next alcohol education program Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Scout Room of Central Presbyterian Church. Laurie Griffith of the Alcohol Traffic Safety Clinic will be the speaker and a film, “The Alcoholic Within Us” will be shown. The free program is designed for the general public by the Lane County Council on Alcoholism. Anyone interested is welcome to attend. Last day to file book lists Today is the deadline for instructors to submit books for the sum mer reserve in the library. According to Kathy Lundquist, reserve book room supervisor, there is usually a backlog of materials to be processed at the beginning of each term, so faculty and teaching fellows should bring their personal materials in soon. Materials now on reserve are not subject to the same deadline. She and her partner, Charles Perrier, will perform “Court Dances of the Renaissance" Wednesday at 8 p.m. in Beall Concert Hall. The program in cludes such dances as the pavane and the galliard. The dancers will be accom panied by music professor John Hamilton on the harpsichord and by members of the University Ear ley Musick Pleyers. Tickets for the concert and for each workshop are $3.50 for the general public and $2 for students and senior citizens. They are a vailable at the University School of Music or at the door. German film plays today There will be a showing of the “Deutsche Sommerschule am Pazifik” by Prof. Langhammer of Portland State University, this morning at 1030 in Studio B of the library. Interested students are urged to see the film even though they have no plans to attend the “Sommerschule” German program. Langham mer, who has been associated with the summer program for 20 years, is willing and able to answer any questions students have. The program at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, offers a unique learning experience: German is spoken during all waking hours and classes are small, approximately seven students per class. There are still several places available. Anyone with two or more years of college German may apply. Scholarships are available, too. Geologist speaks tonight John Beaulieu, deputy state geologist for the Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries will give a talk about Environmental Geology at 7:30 tonight in 123 Science. Questions and answers will follow the presentation.
