Morse, a candidate this year for the Senate, spoke to more than 75 persons at a public meeting sponsored by the Lane County AFL-CIO Council at the Eugene Hotel Saturday night The topic of his speech was ‘ Unjust Economic Discriminations Against Labor, Business and Consumers ” His major criticism was President Nixon's Economic Control System “It is for Congress to pass legislation that sets forth substantive provisions of law that define, enumerate and mandate the specifics of the economic controls that are to be ad ministered and ministerially carried out by the President in accordance with enforcement procedures as provided for by the Congress in legislation itself This is not what Congress has done."
