Expenses from the Faire have not yet been totaled, but will probably reach about $1,400, she added. How the funds are to be used will be determined by a finance committee made up of interested members of the New American Community. This includes anyone affiliated with any one of a dozen Eugene service organizations, including the Augur, the Patriot Party, Willamette People’s Co-operative Grocery, White Bird Sociomedical Aid Station, the Landscaping Co-op, Eugene Craftsmen’s Guild, Eugene and Campus Switchboards, Children’s Community, the Wood & Fuel Co-op, Lane County Free School and the Food Gatherer’s Co-op. No decision about the dispersement of the profits was reached at Sunday night’s New American Community meeting. Disagreement issued as to whether the funds should go toward a down payment on land for a permanent location for the Faire, or to meet the com munity’s more immediate needs, according to Mrs. Wooten. ‘Dream’ opens Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” opens its three weekend run at the University Theatre Friday night, Nov. 6, at 8 p.m. Six performances and two matinees are planned for the play. Tickets are priced at $2.50 and $3.50, and are available at the University Theatre Box Office in Villard Hall. Correction Contrary to a story in Thursday’s Emerald, the han dicapped swim program is not sponsored by only the YMCA. People from the Sky River Collective are supervising clean up work at the site where the Faire was held. They will be staying there until Oct. 31. Legal committee holds meeting The ASUO Legal Affairs Committee held its first meeting of the year Tuesday night to decide which cases will be handled by the committee. Committee chairman Jim Teasdale said cases needing legal counsel, except those concerning the draft and landlord and tenant, will be handled by the committee. Draft and landlord and tenant cases should be taken to other offices in the EMU. Students wishing information on landlord and tenant policies should pick up the free pamphlet from the main lobby of the EMU.
