McCarthy... (Continued front pane I) The forces of President John son have tried to gather student volunteers but it is obvious that the student support all belongs to McCarthy. The Democratic National Committee provided free buses for any Young Demo crats from the Chicago area to go campaign for the President but only a few took them up on the olfer It is not only as volunteers that students arc having an im pact on the campaign Univer sity of Wisconsin students shouted down a speech by Sec retary of Agriculture Orville Freeman last week, which many believed would cause adverse reaction to McCarthy among the voters. McCarthy said: “students for McCarthy are not hecklers They have listened and studied and are still ready to stand and listen to anyone who comes in good faith.” But Wisconsin student lead ers believe the Johnson forces are trying to encourage such demonstrations. French Acting Group Presents 'La Tartuffe' The famous French comedy “!■> TartulTc” will be perform ed here today by the French touring company, Le Treteau de I’aris. The play, one of Moliere’s most famous comedies, is sched uled for 3 and 8 p m at the University Theatre I.e Treteau de I’aris is the company of French actors and actresses which has brought t rench theatre to North Amer ican cities for the past 10 years. The troupe presents “Fa Tar tuffe" with the style ond tradi tion of the French theatre hand ed down since the play was first produced during the reign of Louis XVI. The cast includes Yves Case, familiar to Treteau audiences for his performances last season in "Les Femmes Savantes," and (lisellc Touret and Marcelle Hansom, also Treteau veterans. "La TartufTc” will be present ed in French, but is expected to be enjoyable even for persons who do not speak French Awarded Architect Scheduled to Speak Charles Moore, who has won many national awards for his architectural designs, will pre sent a lecture entitled "Form and Metaform” at 8 tonight in 123 Science. Informal discussion will fol low at the graduate architectural shelter north of Franklin bou levard. He will show the work of his firm at 1: 30 p.m Tuesday in 106 Lawrence Hall. Moore, who is chairman of the department of architecture at Yale University, has won awards for numerous residences and the condominium at Sea Kanch near San Francisco. Noted oceanographer and photographer Harry Pederson will give the lecture.
