First Ecumenical Program Features Talk. Hootenanny The term's first ecumenical re ligious program get* under way this weekend when six of the re ligious groups on campus com lnne to present H. Itoyce Sal/, man discussing “Modern Church Music,” followed by a hootenan ny. Two other such programs are planned for the term. In a joint statement issued by the presidents of the six organi zations, the groups said the pro gram was a result of "a common concern for the effectiveness of the total Christian ministry on this campus, and because we feel our various denominational ties do not force us to compete in the presentation of programs of general interest to all our groups.” Barbara Reid of Westminster House emphasized that all types of music will be sung at the hoot enanny. Karen and Doug Winn, tin- Gruesome Twosome (Gene Garrett and Addison Talbot) and a group led by Peter Maync will lead the hootenanny.
