The hayride will start from Christian House at 7:30 p.m. Sunday morning study group follows a 9 o’clock coffee hour. Call Christian House, 345-3491, for rides. Temple Beth Israel The first in a series of pro grams titled "Festival of Jewish Arts and Culture” will be present ed at Eugene's Temple Beth Is rael, 2550 Portland St., Sunday at 8 p.m. Robert M. Trotter, dean of the School of Music, will give a lec ture-demonstration on Jewish music. The dean, a pianist, will join George Boughton, violinist, in presenting Ernest Bloch’s “Ball Shcm Suite.” Gabriel Cho dos, pianist, will perform Bloch’s “Prophetic Vision.” Two additional programs will be; included in the series. On Feb. 23, Sylvan N. Karchmer, profes sor of English, will speak on “The Jew in American Literature.” On April 7 there will be an illustrat ed slide lecture on Jewish cere monial objects. The speaker will be Rabbi William M. Kramer of Loa Angeles. Tickets for the se ries are available at Gallery East in Kaufman Bros, on campus. First Baptist Church The COS class meets at 9:45 Sunday morning. Dune Ferguson will speak on “Personal Relation ships" in the series on the book of John. The international reception will be at 4 p.m Sunday. The international students, accompa nied by their friendship families, will attend. All students are in vited. Andre Kimboko, COS foreign student representative, and Ken Kalina, COS president, have planned a program of music and short talks. A buffet supper will conclude the evening. College hour will not be held this week. Next week, a guest speaker, Dr. 4todH*acher of West ern Theological Seminary in Portland, will speak. Emerald Baptist Roger Williams Fellowship will meet at 5:30 p m at Emerald Bap tist Church, 19th and Patterson They will present a Sunday aft ernoon program at a local nurs ing home.
