Sports Briefs OSU Sets Mark (t'F'Ii Unbeaten Ohio State the nation's number one college basketball team «et a Big Ten Conference record with a 72-57 victory over Michigan last night. The Buckeye* extended their conference win atreak to 24 games to eraae the 23-game record held jointly by Ohio State and the 1912-1913 Wisconsin teams. The win is the 19th straight this season for OSU. NCAA Negotiates ( L’PI I Negotiations between the NCAA and the AAU at Chi cago have broken off for the fifth time. The two amateur groups seek agreement on administration and control of U.S. teams in foreign competition. Charlie has accumulated 4f>2 total points in 20 games for an average of 22.6 points per game. Forward Hill Blmmons follows Warren with a 13.2 average. Both Forman and Reeve are members of the Webfoot two rnile relay team which came with in three-tenths of a second of snapping the world's indoor rec-' ord last Friday night in the Los' Angeles Times Games. Hounding out the team were Dyrol Burleson and Ted Abram. Clark, Betas Win Intramural Tilts Two games were played in Monday's "A” intramural basket ball action and a third contest was cancelled when Hunter for feited to Young Hall. In the games played, Clark demolished a shorter Hawaiian five, 40-15, and Beta Theta Pi managed a 23-19 win over Sigma Chi in an action-packed battle. Clark Beats Hawaiians Howie Clark pumped home 14 counters to lead a deadly Clark Hall team past the bewildered Hawaiians, 40-15. Leading by 10 at halftime, Clark rolled up 24 points in the second half to pad the victory. A tight Clark defense allowed the losers only six points in the first half and nine more in the second.
