After the game an open houae will be held to welcome 080 atu denta. Sunday the coffee hour will be gin at 9 a.m. From 9:30 to 10:30 n atudy of the "Brief Statement of the Reformed Kaith" will be conducted by Myrla Dean. The topic for discussion la "Kaith and Repentance." At 6 p.m. vespers will be held, following the coffee hour. The council will meet Tuesday noon. Chapel will be held Wednes day from 12:30 to 12:50. Bob Dean will lead the group. At 5:30 p.m. there will be a fellow ship aupper with a third discus sion on Christian Vocation. George Hamphill will apeak on "The Chriatian Vocation of Medi cine." Thursday at 4 p.m. there will tie a atudy on "The World Coun cil of Churches and Internation al Affairs." Newman Club "Our Catholic Heritage" will t>e the topic for the speech and discussion to be held Sunday at 7 p.m. in the recreation room of Sacred Heart hospital. The .•■peaker for the meeting will be Rev. Kdward Spear. All students on the campus are invited to the discussion, business meeting, and social hour, according to Patt Dameron, publicity chairman. Canterbury Club "Is Communism a Religion ?" is the topic of a lecture which will be given Sunday night by Dr. H. E. Bowman, assistant pro fessor of Slavic languages. The Sunday evening service begins at 6:30 p.m. Dessert will be served. Skiers to Enter Inter-Collegiate Competition The University ski club is making plans to enter inter collegiate competition following last Thursday night's approval | by the ASUO senate of club plans to race under the Univer sity's name. This will mark the first time in seven years that the Univer - sity has entered intercollegiate ski competition. Previously the ski team had been sponsored by the athletic department, huULeo Harris, director of athletics, said the department this year could not afford to back a team. Although Harris gave no indi cation that a ski team will be considered by the athletic de partment in the future, Jim Laughton, ski club president, ex pressed the hope that the ski team will prove itself this year and become a regular athletic department function. The Ski club was reorganized this year and has at this time ap proximately 25 members. Laugh ton said that he plans to race in the all-Oregon meet later in the season. All students interested in ski ing are invited to attend chib meetings. Plans call for a free skiing lesson some Sunday this term for new members. Perkins, acting head of the religious department, will speak on St. Augustine, one of a ser ies on "Great Men of the Chris tian Church." Coffee will be served. , Luther House Tonight, after the Oregon-Ore gon State basketball game an open house will be held at Luther House, 1376 Alder street, for all students. Gary Petersen is the chairman for a group discussion Sunday at :0 p.m. There will be refreshments I and games after the meeting. The executive council will meet Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. Wesley Foundation After the OSO game tonight a Fun Nite will be held at Wes ley, 1238 Kincaid. OSC Wesley an» have been invited to attend. Saturday Wesleyans will meet at Wesley Foundation at 5 p.m. to go as a group to the game at OSC. Sunday the Koinonia Klass will meet at Wesley at 9:30 a.m. Sun day evening, following the light supper at 5:30, another program in the "University of Life” ser ies will be given. Tuesday a potluck supper ia scheduled for 5:30 p.m. with a program immediately following. Choir practice will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. At 9:30 chapel will be held.
