Theater Ticket-Sale Competition To Begin On Campus Monday The annual sale of season tickets for the University Theater will begin Monday, Mrs. Marjory AUingham- Ra mev, business manager, has announced. The regular admission price is set at 80 cents and S2.40 for the spectacle show, making the saving on a season ticket S2.40. More than one of the six ad missions purchased on the season ticket may be used on a single production if desired. The dates for the two fall term plays are October 24. 25", 29. 30, 31. The earlier than usual sched ule is due to the addition of seven living organizations and the increased enrollment on the campus. This brings the total of organizations in the 1948 Oregana to 64. Schedule Speeded Kennell-Ellis photographers, who are again handling the in dividual pictures, are also pushing the schedule so that page layouts may be made by winter term. Schedule blanks will be de livered to the organizations a week ahead of tiipe. One is to be kept by the house and one is to be returned to Kennell Ellis studios a day previously. Dress for the men will be. as in previous years, white shirt, sport coat, and tie. Wo men's organizations are al lowed their choice, but the house must he uniform. The first week is scheduled as follows: September 30. Al pha Tail Omega and Omega hall; October 1. Beta Theta Pi and Cfii Psi; October 2. Delta Tan Delta and Delta Upsilon; October 3. Phi Delta Theta and Phi Gamma Delta. (10) Those of you who signed up to work on the advertising and business staff, please report on the day or days you indicated. ^ THIS IS EFFECTIVE MONDAY Oregon Emerald Religious Council Discusses Week Under the direction of student chairman Tom Hazzard, the first meeting of this year’s University religious council got under way Thursday afternoon with a discus sion of the group's plans for the coming year. Highlighting their activities for the year will be the annual “Relig ious Evaluation Week,” October 26-30. Twelve speakers will be on the campus to present topics of interest to the students. Other ac tivities for the week will include book exhibits, breakfasts and din ners, forums, skeptic hours and firesides. Dr. George Pedley, economics professor at Mills college, will speak at the opening session on Sunday evening, October 26, and will also lead the skeptic hour dis cussions during the week.
